Vote For Hot Stuff Of The Week!

October 2nd, 2007 by Stu Mark · No Comments

new-image.JPGWe had a real squeaker of a competition this past week, one vote separated first and second place. And that extra vote created our latest Hot Stuff Of The Week: LD’s essay on Public Breastfeeding. Congratulations! You earned yourself a pat on the back and a nifty badge for your website! Also, at no extra charge to you, we include our undying respect. Bonus!

And now that the applause has died down, it’s time for this week’s contest to begin: Our first nominee for Hot Stuff Of The Week hails from the great state of Maine. From Here To Paternity writes about attending his first wedding as a father. Very funny stuff, and very real, which we dig ’round these parts. Give it a read: Classy Baby

Jen Lemen performs a minor miracle, - Free Ice Cream! Wow!! Really, a deeply meaningful post about a pretty trivial concept: the local ice cream truck. Fantastic!

This next essay, written by “BlogChocolate,” is a very moving post about her mom and the determination that all mothers can access at any time.

Finally, Her Bad Mother creates a wonderful analogy about becoming a parent, comparing the role of parent-to-be to one of The Swimmer.

That’s all of ‘em, so give ‘em a solid read and then vote your conscience:

Who’s The Hottest?
GNMParents And The Stuff They Think Is Hot
Classy Baby
The Ice Cream Truck
A Mother’s Determination
The Swimmer

(Hey folks, the Carnival of Family Life is up at Real Life. Doodaddy’s playing in the sand again, so be sure to check it out!)

And then there’s you, dear reader: What’s your Internet look like? Who’s hot on the ‘Net? Send your “Hot Stuff Of The Week” nominations to Stu and he’ll see that they get their chance at the polls. And, last but not least, thanks to all the GNMParents readers. You all make it worth the trip.
