Hot! Hot! Hot! – No, we’re not talking about this summer, we’re talking about this week’s Hot Stuff Winner! Congratulations to Pia at Courting Destiny for earning the “I’m Hot!” button this week! Her post, I was a teen age rebel and uh, oh yeah, adopted offers great perspective into adoption, parenting, and being a rebel. Thanks, Pia for letting us in.
And now, the moment you’ve been waiting for, this week’s Hot Stuff nominees:
Jeff Freeman’s Videogame Violence Debate Finally Over. As parents, we are inundated with moral authorities who use pseudo-science to frighten parents into a state of mind-numbing blandness. Jeff takes a hard look at this, challenging the video game naysayers with hard data. Also, Don’t overlook the comments! Regardless of your take on video games and the 1st Amendment, Jeff’s post will make you think about it!
Have you experimented with oobleck yet? Kevin’s post Oobleck Fun at Web Goonies will totally convince you to break out the cornstarch! FUN!
Susan at Friday Playdate suggests a “Welcome to the new Normal” bracelet for all fresh-faced parents. Her post Who Are You… illustrates how your kids might mess with your brain when they react unexpectedly to life! This parenting thing is rarely boring.
Chris breaks the parenting tension with this short photo-essay on the funny side of bedtime that each of us can relate to. Can anyone read this and not nod their head and smile knowingly?
Okey-Dokie, time to votey-wotey! And, while you’re at it, feel free to pass this poll around to your friends. Even if they don’t vote (which they totally should, ’cause, like, it’s fun and stuff), they’ll certainly enjoy the reading.

Thank you. It means a lot to me when people listen to what adopted means to people who wouldn’t have wanted any other family. Or really couldn’t imagine any other family. That is I suppose a compliment but to me it’s just reality
