Giving New Meaning to Parenting

Reverse Resolutions

December 29th, 2008 by AmyL · 3 Comments

notebook open to page of resolutionsA wise friend of mine from an online group wrote something a year ago that really caught my attention. She challenged each of us to sit down and write a list of brags and accomplishments for the year. When you’ve got the list, put a title on it: 2008 Resolutions. Then cross everything off!

No more writing a list of wishes in January only to disappoint yourself in June. Instead let’s celebrate what we’ve gotten done so far. Here’s my list:

2008 Resolutions

In 2008, I will

    finish mulching the flowerbeds
    finish drywall in the basement
    lose 26 pounds
    paint the basement walls
    tile/carpet floors in basement
take the boys on monthly field trips
    launch a new website

So, what about you? What are your reverse resolutions? Let’s celebrate our accomplishments in 2008!

Positive Parenting Is The Path To World Peace
We believe parenting (that is to say, positive parenting) is the key to happiness, because it provides children with a base of comfort, which allows them to grow. Our focus on parenting has everything to do with creating a better, safer, more pleasant society. Are you interested in increasing your focus on parenting? If so, give us some of your time. We offer advice, ideas, and much more, all in a safe community, a community filled with homeschoolers, lawyers, doctors, stay-at-home parents, moms, dads, and grandparents, all of whom are willing to share with you their advice and insight into parenting, so that you can parent your child in the best possible way, in the most positive way.
