One sweet baby girl
One sandy beach, preferably at low tide
One tidal pool full of sea snails
One dead horseshoe crab
Show baby snails. Laugh hysterically while she attempts to eat snails, then tosses them in the ocean while screaming “Sleep tight, snails! THERE YOU GO!” Imagine snails having heart attacks as they unexpectedly hurtle through space.
Add horseshoe crab leg. Screech “no, yucca!” when baby tries to eat leg. Recoil and laugh while baby tells you, “Mommy try!” and chases you with leg.
Wonder how scaredy-cat mama begat fearless child. Marvel at the universe.
Repeat.

So evocative.
The Poo tossing those snails back in the water while yelling, “THERE YOU GO!” — wish I had been there to see that.
