Giving New Meaning to Parenting

Little Link Love

Happy Wednesday, Folks!

It’s past time to share some of the great posts that are out in the sphere.  Without further ado:

Author Maxwell Eaton, of The Adventures of Max and Pinky series has a guest post up at the Well Read Child:  10 Tips for the Parent of Ricky, The Reluctant Reader. My 4 and 7 year old kids both love the Superheroes book.

Asha, the head Hacker at Parenthacks has a post up sharing some Free Alternatives to Gift Wrap.  She’s sharing at MomSpeak.

Budget 101 has some great suggestions for things to put in all kids of gift baskets.  I think these ideas could easily translate into themed stockings (did you hear me, Santa?)  You can start off with one of the Kid’s Gift Baskets, the New Parent’s Survival Kit, or the Teacher’s Survival Kit.

Make a Beautiful Snowflake- I am not crafty,  but this looks so neat and not supremely complicated (she says though she hasn’t tried it yet.)

Eight Questions About the Human Body that Kids Always Ask- Why do men have nipples, anyway?

Really Cool Advent Calendar: Too late to use this season,  but a great gift to make and give now for next year!

I was at a party last weekend and someone brought Williams Sonoma Peppermint BarkThis recipe might be a good addition to your cookie swap.

And you?  What have you been reading and/or writing this week?  Leave a link in the comments!

Positive Parenting Is The Path To World Peace
We believe parenting (that is to say, positive parenting) is the key to happiness, because it provides children with a base of comfort, which allows them to grow. Our focus on parenting has everything to do with creating a better, safer, more pleasant society. Are you interested in increasing your focus on parenting? If so, give us some of your time. We offer advice, ideas, and much more, all in a safe community, a community filled with homeschoolers, lawyers, doctors, stay-at-home parents, moms, dads, and grandparents, all of whom are willing to share with you their advice and insight into parenting, so that you can parent your child in the best possible way, in the most positive way.
