If You Can’t Stand The Hot Stuff,Have An Iced Tea and Then Try Again!

October 9th, 2007 by Stu Mark · 1 Comment

new-image.JPGHot Stuff Of The Week, for the week of October 8th, 2007, is… From Here To Paternity, with his very cute story about their very Classy Baby! Congratulations, FHTP, not just on the win, but on the opportunity for a night out sans baby!

Once the balloons and confetti have stopped dropping from the rafters, I’d like you to consider the following Hot Stuff Of The Week nominees:

An unknown singer-songwriter provides us with a heart-warming, yet bare-bones honest take on parenting, as he sings about bedtime to Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D. Beautiful.

Our second Hot Stuff nominee is about a couple’s daughter and her religious choice. Very informative, very inspiring.

This week, our own Wacky Mommy wrote a very kindly review of the new Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld. Our third Hot Stuff nominee takes a slightly opposing viewpoint, as deception is, after all, still deception. Frederick Foodie suggests that, instead of hiding vegetables, bring your kids into the kitchen.

Last, but by no means least, is Mama Karisma, who writes about other parents, the ones who don’t seem to like their own children very much. Odd that such a post needs to be written, but on the other hand, I think we all know at least one parent who isn’t overly thrilled with the fact that they had kids. Ah me, perspective is everything.

Okey Dokey Artichokey, time to get to votin’!!

Parents Who Don’t Like Their Kids

Now that the voting is out of the way, take a quick fifteen seconds to subscribe to GNMParents. It’s excitingly easy: just fill in your email address in the field near the top of our sidebar. Before you know it, no more searching through bookmarks to get the latest posts on GNMParents. Instead, they come to you! We realize that there may be some fun in searching through endless bookmarks for your favorite parenting site, but think of yourself and your time. Wouldn’t email versions of GNMParents give you more time to watch House?

What about you? What’s your Internet look like? Who’s hot in your eyes? Send your “Hot Stuff Of The Week” nominations to Stu and he’ll see that they get their day at the polls. And, last but not least, thanks to every single one of you who read GNMParents. You keep us smiling the big smile!

Now, dang it. You think I haven’t thought of bringing them into the kitchen? I do. They think I’m trying to poison them or something. It gets ugly. They try to feed raw carrots to the cat. He gets mad. So I throw them all out.

I will go look at the post and see if there are some new, improved ideas for me.

    Signed,

    Desperate. But Not Serious.
