How’s it goin’? Got a sugar hangover? Yeah, we hear ya. Maybe a Hot Stuff winner will perk up your “spirits” (one last Halloween pun!) - Ok, grab your socks and hose and pull - the winner of last week’s Hot Stuff poll is: Older Kids and Halloween from Chicago Moms ! Congratulations! And thanks for stickin’ up for the older kids, and for reminding us that they need love and care too.
What’s that? Oh, right, this week’s nominees! I almost forgot (not really). Ok, here they are:
Meredith starts us off with a detailing of her kid-oriented finances and why she had to go to work. After reading her post and adding up all those expenses, wow, you can understand why some folks don’t have too many kids. ![]()
Clint from dadventure.ca gives us his perspective on public schools and the choice between public and private education. Excellent analysis, very thought-provoking.
Bull City Rising brings us our next nomination, kids voting. A fantastic concept, one that we’ll be paying attention to, as we all realize that voter turnout is pretty sad in this country.
Last, but by no means least, is Agent Smith, who addresses The OverPopulation Myth. Heads up, there’s math involved, which gives the essay serious legitimacy, but might force you to whip out a calculator and a scratch pad for taking notes. Work that brain!
Here’s your part - Vote!
Thanks so very much for voting! We count on your input and we sincerely appreciate it. We’d give you a hug, but the Internet doesn’t make for such an opportunity. Virtual hugs all around!
Another virtual thank you we can provide is our RSS feed. Want to subscribe? It’s easy, just fill in your email address in the field near the top of our sidebar. Before you can say Jack Robinson, you’ll be signed up to get the latest posts from GNMParents. Pretty cool, huh?
What about you? What’s your Internet look like? Who’s hot in your eyes? Send your “Hot Stuff Of The Week” nominations to Stu and he’ll see that they get their day at the polls. And, last but not least, thanks to every single one of you who read GNMParents. We hope it makes your life a little better or a little brighter or a little bit of both.
