Did They Really Mom My Ride?

March 24th, 2007 by Megin Hatch · 2 Comments

oak treeAre you into all of the improvement shows that are on the television these days? A new one seems to debut every week. I would never even pretend to have seen them all, but here are a few I’ve enjoyed on occasion (really, just on occasion. Not one of these is in my regular rotation):

    While You Were Out
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
    The Biggest loser
    Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Trading Spaces (especially when it 1st came out)
What Not to Wear (ok, I love this one)
    Decorating Cents
    Design on a Dime
    Get Color!
Nanny 911 (this is like a train wreck, when I stumble across it, I simply can not look away)
    Made (MTV)
    and finally, Pimp my Ride

Why is there such a demand for these shows? I think it’s because so many people enjoy having a somewhat intimate glance into the lives of other people. How do they do the day to day, what do their cupboards look like, what do they cook for dinner, how do they parent their kids?

Well, finally, there is a show I must have actually been featured on, completely unbeknownst to me. Perhaps I am suffering from a bit of amnesia, because there is proof positive that these men actually did this to my car:

The “duct tape” part of the show is absolutely, one-hundred percent accurate! When I saw the broken mirror, my first thought was, “duck it!”… Hilarious!!
