Ahhhhhhh, silence. The boys are off to camp this week (olders at Boy Scout camp, youngers at Camp Grandma), and Hubby and I are on our own.
Of course this means lots of free time spent leisurely eating bonbons and getting pampered and spoiled. I will also have time to clean the entire house from top to bottom, finish everything I ever considered putting on my todo list, and complete 4 quilts.
Yep, that sounds possible.
Or…..maybe I’ll over-schedule myself with too many errands and jobs outside the house and finish the week with work done but not enough.
That’s a more likely scenario. I’ve done it that way more than one time.
Or….maybe I’ll look for balance. Spend some time working, spend other time playing. I haven’t managed that before.
What about you? Given time off from the children, what would you choose to do?

I’m sorry to say I haven’t gotten a long stretch of time at home w/o my boys since they’ve been born. I’m honestly waiting for all of them to be in school so I can catch up on my growing “To Do List.” I have 2 more years to go before that happens, but in the meantime I’m enjoying them while they’re home.
If I get a stretch of time before they’re all in school I’d probably balance it with getting things done and enjoying the silence.

Please do look for tht balance, Amy. Like Sherry Ive not bee home without the kids ever. We’ve gone away or had an hour here or there, but never lots of time.
Enjoy getting things done and a little bit of getting nothing done. Sounds like a great way to kick off summert.

I’d strive for balance. While a full week of pampering and eating bonbons would be wonderful, I know I’d pay the price when my kiddos returned. Enjoy the silence and absorb the chaos when it returns.
